Hazmat Booms – CB206

Hazmat Booms are made by chemically inert materials and can manage most acidic, alkaline, and other corrosive liquids. It is always applied as quick spill fence to contain mass leaks happened both indoor or outdoor.

We do not recommend to do so ! UPQUARK Hazmat Booms do contains most liquids but are not universal booms. In chemical containment process, correct process and people management is as important as choosing right boom. Direct body contact with cleanup waste without PPE or failure to dispose of waste in accordance with regulations will cause disasters such as chemical injuries. Bright yellow is a danger warning color -- its appearance is not so frequently and it can only be seen when dangerous chemical liquid leakage happens. If people apply Hazmat Booms just for ordinary leaks like universal boom as habit, when a real chemical liquid leak occurs, it delivers misleading information that just an ordinary leak happens, which will cause unnecessary harm. On another hand, if a chemical spill occurs and you only have Universal absorbents on hand, do not hesitate to apply gray absorbent booms immediately . Although Universal absorbent is not ideal for chemical liquids, leakage control is priority 1 at that moment . Please follow up the the entire cleaning process to avoid misunderstandings. Hazmat chemical absorbents should be replenished as soon as possible later.

No ! Absorption of acidic liquids does not change its physical and chemical properties. Treat saturated absorbents with the same storage, handling and safety precautions as you would use with the liquids that has been absorbed.

We do not recommend secondary use. Used Hazmat Chemical absorbents should be disposed as waste according to the adsorbed chemical liquid as soon as possible. Improper storage will cause the liquid to react chemically with other chemicals, causing danger.

As emergency handling product, Hazmat Booms should be fast eye-catching and easily accessible. White plastic boxes with fluorescent stickers stand out no matter where they are placed -- it is easy to spot even in a pile of cardboard boxes even in power outages or driving at night.
