They are chemical absorbent pads for most acids, alkalis, corrosives, chemicals and unknown liquids. UPQUARK Hazmat Chemical Absorbent Pad absorbs and locks liquid and it prevents liquid flowing and spill expanding. Polypropylene material show great chemical resistance against acid & alkali and is ideal for dangerous chemical liquids absorbing.

We do not recommend to do so ! UPQUARK Hazmat Chemical Absorbent Pads do clean up most liquids but is not universal pad. In chemical cleaning up process, correct process and people management is as important as choosing right pad. Direct body contact with cleanup waste without PPE or failure to dispose of waste in accordance with regulations will cause disasters such as chemical injuries. Bright yellow is a danger warning color -- its appearance is not so frequently and it can only be seen when dangerous chemical liquid leakage happens. If people apply Hazmat Chemical Pads just for ordinary leaks like universal pad as habit, when a real chemical liquid leak occurs, it delivers misleading information that just an ordinary leak happens, which will cause unnecessary harm. On another hand, if a chemical spill occurs and you only have Universal absorbents on hand, do not hesitate to clean it up immediately with gray absorbent pads. Although Universal absorbent is not ideal for chemical liquids, leakage control is priority 1 at that moment . Please follow up the the entire cleaning process to avoid misunderstandings. Hazmat chemical absorbents should be replenished as soon as possible later.

No ! Absorption of acidic liquids does not change its physical and chemical properties. Treat saturated absorbents with the same storage, handling and safety precautions as you would use with the liquids that has been absorbed.

We do not recommend secondary use. Used chemical absorbent pads should be disposed as waste according to the adsorbed chemical liquid as soon as possible. Improper storage will cause the liquid to react chemically with other chemicals, causing danger.

Picker is an 1 meter aluminum alloy clip and it helps for picking up absorbent . In real application , just hold the handle at one end and the other section of the clip will pick up the saturated absorbent. The material of the clip is resistant for acid, alkali and corrosion and can pick up items less than 5 kg stably. By application picker no direct body contact with saturated pad is needed for safety. And you can treat it as PPE personal safety. Meanwhile it make operators’ picking up easier especially for the saturated absorbent in corner -- no need to bend down or squat when placing and picking up, which reduces labor intensity greatly.

Per 16 years’ experience, the most frequently complaint for pads is generated by packaging. Cartons are prone to damage and moisture during transportation. Damp cartons causes more moisture filtration which affects the adsorption performance. The plastic box is stronger and isolates moisture more effectively. Plastic packaging will not be ruined by water and self-extinguish with fire, which reduces fire flaming risk.

As emergency handling product, chemical absorbent pads should be fast eye-catching and easily accessible. White plastic boxes with fluorescent stickers stand out no matter where they are placed -- it is easy to spot even in a pile of cardboard boxes even in power outages or driving at night.
